10 Perks of being in a big family
Five Perks Of Being In A Big Family
I am growing up in a really big family. I am the oldest of eight and ever since I remember I always had someone to play with. When I was younger I almost always had a baby in the family. People in my class thought we were all adopted because no one has big families where I live. People also think my house is full of lots of noise and chaotic. Some days it is like that but not always, but there is always something to do and it's never boring. I love the hustle and busyness. So here are five perks of being in a big family.
1. There is always someone to play with
I babysit a lot but, to be honest, it is not that hard. We all have been "playmate" that we hang out with. Mine is my youngest sister who is five. We are the best of buds and she constantly makes me laugh. When she is busy I always have two other sisters to giggle with.
2. Lots of love
Whenever I come home from work or school after a hard day I am always greeted with lots of love. The love that I get constantly I am amazing and I never feel alone or empty. My mom always says "I anyone needs a kidney in our house they will get that kidney". She also says, " When we are older and we need a place to crash we will find a place to crash for the night". I am happy to say that this love will stay when we all leave the nest and grow as we grow.
3. Lots of parting
Not only my household is big but so is all my cousins. So we will get lots of wedding or baby announcements. Of course, there is always something exciting to talk about. We get a good amount of Christmas cards too.
4. Lots of sharing
Maybe
its clothes or anything with the beauty we try and share. Of course we struggle but in the end, we get it figured out. Sharing makes us feel like we got something new without getting something new. We mostly share toy and beauty products. Candy is another thing we share but most of the time it is unwillingly because unless we lock ourselves in a room or the bathroom we are kinda forced to share. In the end, we can always say it's my sisters', mom's or brothers'.
5. Someone can help you with anything you want
Sometimes it homework or times its chores, but if I want help I just turn around and its there. Of course, sometimes I have to bribe them but candy is also very helpful. I get help a-lot with the dishes considering we have a lot with ten mouths to feed in a day. Being the oldest I am also the one giving help but I feel like giving help is just as good as receiving help. Helping is one of my favorite things about being in a big family. Our home may be chaotic or noisy at times, but there are more good times than bad. I don't want my home to be any different.
